Computational Fluid Dynamics in Aerospace Engineering: Recent Developments
Main Article Content
Abstract
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has become an indispensable tool in aerospace engineering, facilitating the simulation and analysis of fluid flow phenomena critical for aircraft design, performance optimization, and safety assessment. Recent developments in CFD techniques have led to significant advancements in accuracy, computational efficiency, and multi-physics integration. This article reviews recent progress in CFD methodologies, focusing on turbulence modeling, high-fidelity simulations, aerodynamic shape optimization, and the integration of machine learning for predictive modeling in aerospace applications. The paper highlights case studies demonstrating CFD's impact on aerospace innovations in Pakistan and globally. Challenges and future directions in CFD research, including high-performance computing (HPC) and real-time simulation capabilities, are discussed.
