The Journal of the Artificial Intelligence Engineers Consortium (JAIEC) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of the scholarly content it publishes. As part of our mission to promote the dissemination of knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence engineering, we adhere to the following archiving policy:

1. Permanent Accessibility

  • All articles published in JAIEC will be permanently available in digital format on our website and through trusted third-party repositories. The full-text articles will remain freely accessible to the public, ensuring that research outputs are available for future reference and use.

  • In the event of the discontinuation of the journal, articles will be made available in open access through institutional archives or other reputable platforms.

2. Self-Archiving

  • Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version of their articles in institutional repositories or personal websites. However, they must acknowledge the original source of the publication (Journal of the Artificial Intelligence Engineers Consortium).

  • JAIEC allows authors to self-archive the post-print version (final draft) of their articles after a 12-month embargo period.

3. Digital Preservation

  • JAIEC partners with major digital archives, such as CLOCKSS, Portico, and other similar trusted platforms, to ensure the long-term preservation of the published content.

  • We also ensure that the journal’s metadata, DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers), and other critical elements are preserved in global databases such as CrossRef.

4. Backup Systems

  • All published articles and associated materials are regularly backed up in multiple, geographically distributed locations. This ensures redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities to protect the integrity of the journal’s content.

5. Open Access Archiving

  • JAIEC operates under an open access policy. All published content is made freely accessible without any subscription or payment barrier. The journal is committed to maintaining this open-access model to ensure that knowledge is widely available to the global research community.

6. Version Control and Updates

  • In case of any errors or revisions made to published articles, the journal will implement a version control system. This will include clear versioning information and will ensure that the original version and any updates are identifiable.

7. Long-Term Availability

  • JAIEC is committed to making all its content available in perpetuity. The journal will maintain copies of all its issues, and any necessary arrangements will be made for future retrieval and access, in compliance with evolving digital archiving standards.

8. Legal and Copyright Considerations

  • Authors retain copyright over their work, but by submitting to JAIEC, they grant the journal a license to distribute and archive their articles. The archiving of the content does not affect the authors’ rights to share or disseminate their work in other contexts.

9. Compliance with International Standards

  • JAIEC adheres to best practices in digital preservation and archiving. We comply with guidelines and standards for digital archiving, including those established by international organizations like ISO and OAIS (Open Archival Information System).
