Optimization of Renewable Energy Systems in Electrical Engineering
Main Article Content
Abstract
The integration of renewable energy sources (RES) such as solar, wind, and biomass into the electrical grid poses significant challenges that require advanced optimization techniques to maximize efficiency and reliability. This paper reviews recent developments in optimization algorithms applied to renewable energy systems within electrical engineering, focusing on system design, energy management, and grid integration. Various optimization approaches including metaheuristic algorithms, linear programming, and hybrid methods are analyzed for their effectiveness in enhancing the performance of RES. The study further presents case analyses from Pakistan’s renewable sector, highlighting opportunities and challenges in local implementation. Graphical data demonstrate the increasing trend in renewable adoption and the comparative efficiencies of optimization methods. The paper concludes with recommendations for future research directions to improve renewable energy optimization in the electrical engineering domain.
