Edge Computing for Real-Time Data Processing in Internet of Things (IoT) Networks
Main Article Content
Abstract
The exponential growth of Internet of Things (IoT) networks has introduced unprecedented challenges in data processing, latency, and bandwidth utilization. Traditional cloud-centric models struggle to meet real-time requirements for critical applications such as autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, and smart healthcare systems. Edge computing, which brings computation closer to data sources, has emerged as a pivotal paradigm to enable low-latency, efficient, and reliable data processing. This review explores architectural frameworks, real-time processing strategies, and resource management techniques for edge-enabled IoT networks. It also examines security, scalability, and deployment challenges, alongside emerging trends and best practices for robust edge computing solutions. [1–5]
